Legionella Training: Safeguarding Water Systems
The HSE’s Approved Code of Practice & Guidance – The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems (L8) identifies inadequate management, lack of training and poor communication as contributory factors in outbreaks of Legionnaires' Disease. During the recent HSE interventions programme there were over five hundred improvement notices issued and the issue of competence, at all levels, was recognised as a major factor. It is therefore essential that all people involved in the management of water systems and applying precautions are competent, trained and aware of their responsibilities. Attending one of our training sessions has helped our clients to not only comply better with statutory requirements, but has also helped resolve problems more quickly - resulting in many thousands of pounds being saved in ineffective water treatment and remedial costs.
